White sage is the most sacred of all smudging herbs. For centuries, white sage has been considered to be a sacred, cleansing, purifying and protecting herb. Smudging is a spiritual ceremonial practice used to cleanse a person, place or object of negative energies, spirits or influences.

HOW TO USE WHITE SAGE -

• With positive intent, hold the stick end and place the leaf end over a flame until it begins to burn.
• Once the flame has grown, gentle shake the stick in a back and forth motion until smoke begins to rise.
• To cleanse your space, person or personal object, walk around the space, person or object with the sage bundle allowing the smoke to go all around the item, person or space intended.
• Alternatively, place the smudge stick in a fire safe bowl and allow to burn for approximately 15 minutes.
• Gentlty stamp out into a metal dish or place in sand to extinguish.
• Never leave a lit sage stick unattended.
